Three ways through
Sending a photo helps more than anything else. A picture of the window, the wall above it and whatever is already up there answers most of the questions we would otherwise have to ask you one at a time.
What to have ready
None of this is essential, but it turns a long conversation into a short one.
- The width of the window, plus roughly how far the wall runs past it on each side.
- Drop from the fixing height to the floor, or to the sill if the curtains stop there.
- Whether it is a bay, and if so how many faces and whether the corners are angled or square.
- How heavy the curtains are, or what they are made of. This decides pole diameter and bracket spacing more than anything else.
- Anything already fitted that a new pole has to sit alongside or match.
